Tech2Success Learning Center: Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy
Welcome to Tech2Success Learning Center. By accessing our website, booking a consultation, or enrolling in our virtual tutoring services, you agree to the following terms, conditions, and privacy policies designed to ensure a successful and compliant learning environment.
1. Attendance & 24-Hour Cancellation Policy
- Notice Requirement: If a student needs to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session, the parent or guardian must notify Tech2Success at least 24 hours in advance via text or email.
- Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be billed at the full scheduled session rate.
- Late Arrivals: If a student arrives late to a virtual or onsite session, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time to respect the next family's block. The full scheduled duration will be billed.
2. Step Up For Students (EMA) Funding & Direct-Pay Rules
As an approved Florida Direct Pay Provider, we strictly adhere to the regulatory guidance of the Step Up For Students programs (including FES-UA, PEP, and New Worlds Reading).
- Fund Reservation: Prior to the start of any instructional block, the parent/guardian must log into their EMA Portal, locate Tech2Success Learning Center, and formally reserve the agreed-upon hours/packages.
- Invoice Approval Mandate: Tech2Success submits digital invoices into the EMA portal every Sunday for services rendered that week. The parent/guardian agrees to log into their EMA portal and approve the invoice within 48 hours of submission.
- Backup Payment Responsibility: In the event that a student's scholarship funds are frozen, exhausted, or denied by Step Up For Students, the parent/guardian assumes full financial responsibility for all services rendered and agrees to pay Tech2Success directly via credit card, check, or bank transfer.
- Prohibition Against Involvement: Tech2Success will never ask for or require a parent to provide their username and/or password to their scholarship account, nor will we be involved in the scholarship application process.
- Prohibition Against Duplication or Sharing: Tech2Success will not share any moneys from a scholarship with, or provide a refund or rebate of any moneys from a scholarship to, the parent or participating student in any manner. We will not bill any other agency (like Medicaid or insurance) for the same services paid for using scholarship funds.
3. Florida Student Privacy & Data Protection (SOPIPA Compliance)Tech2Success Learning Center is fully compliant with the Florida Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA). We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our K-12 students.
- No Selling or Renting of Data: We will never share, sell, or rent your student's covered personal information to any third parties.
- No Targeted Advertising: We strictly prohibit the use of student data, educational records, or online behavior acquired through our services to amass student profiles or engage in targeted advertising.
- Data Collection Limits: We collect only the student information that is reasonably necessary to operate our educational services, communicate with parents, and satisfy the state's progress-tracking requirements.
- Reasonable Security & Deletion: We maintain reasonable security procedures to protect covered student information against unauthorized access or disclosure. Unless a parent or guardian expressly consents in writing to its continued maintenance, we will securely delete a student's covered information at the conclusion of their enrolled program or no later than 90 days after a student is no longer enrolled in our services.
- Student Progress & Portfolio Tracking: We track daily performance metrics to ensure alignment with Florida academic benchmarks. Weekly progress summaries will be emailed directly to parents, which can be utilized to satisfy annual portfolio evaluation requirements or IEP reviews
